Art has been stolen and destroyed at all times. However, one of the largest art looting has taken place in Germany during the dark times of the Third Reich. It is impossible to restitute all the stolen art since many owners have been killed. Furthermore, especially in terms of jewellery you barely will be able to find out the former owner. 

We support art restitution and try to reconstruct the provenance of all art shown to us.

Furthermore, looting of historical sites is still going on and should not be supported by the educated collector.
